There will be a Stretch Presentation and Group Stretch this upcoming Thursday, Feb. 13

RIVERTON
This will be facilitated by two profession flexologists from StretchLab. It will be at the Gene Fullmer Recreation Center, 8015 S. 2200 W., West Jordan, UT 84088, in one of the fitness rooms, with a capacity for about 30 people. There are already 15 people signed up, so after 15 more register we may have to have a second session at 7:45pm at the same location. Please indicate if you would still be interested in coming at this time if the first session fills up. Click here to sign-up: Stretch Activity Sign-up Link  If you already signed up at the last presentation you do not need to sign up online.

When you arrive ask at the front desk where to go. It is expected to last for 45 minutes, with the first 15 minutes being a presentation on stretching, then about a half hour of group stretches. Make sure you dress in loose clothing. Also, the floor is hardwood, so you may consider bringing a yoga pad if that is a concern. Contact us at 385-468-5258 with any questions.

Standard Track Participants: Challenges have already started!

We're now a few days into the competition and things are in full swing. Earning points for completing weekly challenges has already started for standard track participants. If you haven't already, read at least the first 10 pages of your booklet as soon as you can, including the weekly challenges that started last week on page 10. For independent track participants your quest for discovering and implementing ways to improve your health is underway. Reading the information in your book will help you understand multiple aspects to consider in this process.

This Thursday at 6:00pm there will be a presentation given about the newly designed Way to a Better Life competition, including a little more insight on the "Why" behind it all. Come with your questions and become more comfortable and familiarized with how the competition works and how you can use it to improve your health.

Registration is OPEN: Way to a Better Life 2020

We are excited to announce registration is now open for the 2020 Way to a Better Life Competition!

This year’s competition has been refined to more strongly teach and help you develop long-term habits that will lead to ongoing weight loss and better health. It now includes opportunities to improve your health through developing better sleep habits or enhancing brain function and confidence. And it has been expanded to include an “Independent” weight-loss track (in addition to the “standard” track) that allows more flexibility, is less expensive, and requires fewer weigh-ins.

As in previous years, the top 3 males and females will be awarded for weight-loss (for independent and standard tracks) and point totals (for the standard track only). With the new competition format, the top performers in fat percentage loss will be awarded, everyone who finishes the competition will receive a finisher t-shirt, and additional prizes will be given for weight loss achievement. The competition will include opportunities to attend presentations and receive e-mails to learn more about weight-loss and health. Sign-up with a friend/family member for a discount.

As part of the competition, you will receive an 8x11 booklet with health information to guide your efforts. For those in the standard track this will include specific weekly challenges that you will earn points for completing. You will also receive a biometric screeing (blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose levels) at the beginning and end of the competition, and body composition analysis monthly during the competition.  You can win great prizes! And above all, you can improve your health and learn valuable lessons on your way to a better life.

Online registration is now closed.
