Weigh-in this Thursday (Feb. 20th) 5:30-7:00pm for Standard Track Participants

If you are a standard track participant, come to the weigh-in this Thursday any time between 5:30 and 7:00pm. The weigh-in will be at West Jordan City Hall (8000 S. Redwood Rd.) out in the hall/lobby area. Make sure you bring your participant booklets, so we can record your points for the first 3 weeks of the competition and write your weight in your book. We will also be there to answer any questions you have about the competition so far. If for whatever reason, you have a conflict, and cannot make the weigh-in, please e-mail Jason at jjcloward@slco.org ahead of time to try to make special arrangements to weigh-in.

Also, if you are concerned that you haven't progressed like you had hoped, keep trying! This program/competition is designed to help you discover things to improve and build healthy habits that will benefit you in the long-run. Not seeing immediate results is ok as long as you keep trying. If you keep putting in the effort you will see improvement sooner or later.

When you arrive ask at the front desk where to go. It is expected to last for 45 minutes, with the first 15 minutes being a presentation on stretching, then about a half hour of group stretches. Standard Track Participants: Challenges have already started!

We're now a few days into the competition and things are in full swing. Earning points for completing weekly challenges has already started for standard track participants. If you haven't already, read at least the first 10 pages of your booklet as soon as you can, including the weekly challenges that started last week on page 10. For independent track participants your quest for discovering and implementing ways to improve your health is underway. Reading the information in your book will help you understand multiple aspects to consider in this process.

This Thursday at 6:00pm there will be a presentation given about the newly designed Way to a Better Life competition, including a little more insight on the "Why" behind it all. Come with your questions and become more comfortable and familiarized with how the competition works and how you can use it to improve your health.
